“A House of Flowers and Books”
The hostess of the project has practiced the floriculture for many years and the host is also keen on reading. The room incorporating the hobbies of its residents is just like their living; the living image of flowers and plants present in some corners, and they also carry the traces of living
If the natural and austere language is used in public field, we can say that the main tonality of natural living sense continues itself in private field.
The multi-functional and multi-dimensional canteen area is located in the center of the house, where all the family members gather the most frequently; it changes in the original layout, promotes the living transformation and also works as a buffer for reading area and private area.
When the hostess is wrapped up in floriculture creation, she can also have a look at her daughter in the study. The space and sight are connected together as a whole.
The quite extending from the main wall of living room to the main bedroom intensively is created with the mineral coating in natural atmosphere. The overall color blending being clear of white leaves the hostess the stage for flowers and plants. By the extension of mineral coatings, the main bedroom and study can set off the rhythm of spatial layers by contrast; the bedroom becomes the field for pure sleeping and relaxation, and an independently set cloakroom can realize the function of storage.
Imagine that each family member in each corner of home can have the living which is suitable for himself the most; when one passes by all walls connecting dependent parts and independent parts, one will feel that they are not only the wall presenting floriculture but also a part of home with collected books. The people, books and flowers are creating and sharing the same language, and the idea of “one flower presents one world” is also presented in the details of design. The living returns to its original intention, takes roots in its essence and makes others explore its spiritual connotation with flowers, plants and collected books.
